On March 25, 2011 Sault Ste. Marie resident and patron of Algoma University, Mr. David Mazzuca generously donated to the university in honour of the memory of his great-grandmother, Engracia De Jesus Matias. Mr. Mazzuca’s donation was designated to support Algoma University’s archives and special collections, part of Arthur A Wishart Library. By supporting the archives and special collections within the Arthur A. Wishart Library, the donation enhances the university’s ability to preserve and make accessible important historical and cultural materials. This act of generosity not only honors a personal family legacy but also strengthens the educational and community resources of Algoma University, ensuring that valuable knowledge and history are preserved for future generations.
