Sheffield Park Black History and Cultural Museum, located in Clarksburg, Ontario, is a family-founded institution dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of early Black pioneers and settlers in Simcoe and Grey Counties. Established in 1990 by Howard Sheffield and his nieces, Carolynn and Sylvia Wilson, the museum features a diverse collection of artifacts, photographs, and documents that highlight the contributions of Black Canadians to the community, business, military, marine service, and sports. The museum encompasses twenty buildings, each with themed exhibits, including the Heritage Walk, offering visitors an immersive experience into the lives and achievements of Black Canadians from Africa to America, from slavery to freedom, and from the past to the future.
